在國外，人們都管話題作文和論文統(tǒng)稱ESSAY。

Essay可以看做是說明文，也可以是議論文。總體來說就是引用別的事物來證明某個(gè)觀點(diǎn)。

它分三個(gè)部分

1.main idea主題

3.concluding sentence 結(jié)束語

我的老師說一篇ESSAY最少要三句話，就是我剛剛所寫的大的主體。

另外journal 和 ESSAY 有些相似，journal更不規(guī)范些，就像是博客里寫的隨筆，日志，但不是日記,不記錄心情.

一篇essay的主要組成有三部分，introduction（introductory paragraph），a body （at least one ，but usually two or more paraphs），and a conclusion（concluding paragraph）

introduction包括：general statements and thesis statement

body paragraph包括：paragraph A：topic sentence—1support and detail（or examples）—2support and detail（or examples）—3support and detail（or examples）—concluding sentence

paragraph B：結(jié)構(gòu)同A

paragraph C：結(jié)構(gòu)同A

（paragraph數(shù)量至少一個(gè)，但大學(xué)論文在三個(gè)三個(gè)以上為好。）

conclusion paragraph包括： restament or summary of the main points；final comment

在加拿大ESSAY從10年級開始正式的學(xué)習(xí)，在這之前一般都是journal.

essay一般有五段

第一段是introduction

二到四段是body paragraph

最后一段是conclusion

第一段最后一句話叫做thesis statement

包括topic，controling idea 和predictor

第一段的寫作手法一般分為anecdote，quotation，general to specific，interesting facts or statistics，historical introduction。

body paragraph一般每一段都有三個(gè)main support，每個(gè)main support都附帶minor support

concluding paragraph一般有兩種手法。

restatement and final comment。

In the first paragragh, let others know what are you writing about. Then, bring out the points and explain it. A good essay does not need to be a long one. It just need to have a good grammar, relavent points and good explanation. Add proverbs and good words if you can.
